About the Studio

8db Studios was created in 1998 by Stuart Hellier while working as an assistant engineer at the legendary Wheeler End Studios. Originally intended for private work, the studio quickly gained a reputation for top quality at project studio prices, and saw names such as Jamie Cullum and Alvin Lee coming in with projects.

By keeping small, 8db has always maintained a perfect balance between quality and price. As well as recording and mixing your songs, we can also master a CD with the punch and loudness needed for todays high energy commercial productions, thus saving a small fortune in specialist mastering houses!
